The Junction EH11’ers fundraising grand total for the last year is in… drum roll please… they have raised an amazing…
…including £7526.50 directly raised by the volunteers, and £4280 through Lloyds Banking Group fund matching. A huge THANK YOU to each and every one of them! What Stars!
Here’s some of their story…
The Junction very lucky to have a talented team of Volunteer Fundraisers support us. There were 15 volunteers all working for Lloyds Banking Group.
Together they decided to make us their fundraising project for the year. They set themselves the target of raising £10,000 (some of which they hope may be match funded by LBG). They’ve called themselves The Junction EH11 (EH11’ers for short) and kicked off in style when..…
… “volunteers entertained the wider Lloyds Banking Group payments team with a funny faces competition, plus guess the sweeties in the jar – raising £200 for which we hope to secure fund matching via LBG. It was a fun night for all and got us off to a good start towards our £10,000 target!”
Next The Junction EH11 got busy with… PURPLE FRIDAY
When they raised an amazing £1018 through a combination of purple themed events (purple being The Junctions logo colour).
“We had a brilliant day on ‘PURPLE FRIDAY’, as well as the bake sale, we did purple pinkies (when we got out the purple nail varnish out and painted peoples pinkies), the dress down theme was purple, there was our purple rain game (guessing the number of millilitres in the jar)… and a purple themed quiz. What a great result and fantastic team work too.”
The Amazing Junction EH11 Fundraisers were in action once again, on Friday 24th April – this time with The Junction’s very own workers, Seamus & Michael for company! As they all took part in the PURPLE MILEs!
For some it was 10 miles… for others it was 5 miles… some ran, some cycled, some walked… but every single one of them completed their Purple Miles to raise funds for The Junction… and every single one of them is a genuine WINNER!
A fabulous fundraising celebration event, where they raised £3180. The evening included amazing music, fun auctions, excellent food and even a “£1 a Play” room of activities led by Junction Youth Advisors.
