Project Volunteers

Project Volunteers are involved in The Junction in a variety of ways, most notably in the running of our weekly drop-ins, where they support a range of health & wellbeing activities and offer young people and the opportunity to explore health related issues. Each Project Volunteer has a distinct ‘Volunteer Role’, which sets out the tasks they will be involved with. Here’s an example of a previous opportunity: Drop In Volunteer FRIDAY – example

Project Volunteers have also been involved in supporting our: School Outreach, Street Outreach, Information & Promotional Events, Partnership Work with other agencies, Group-work, Residentials, Organisational Days, our Online Presense and much more… Each Project Volunteer receives Support & Review meetings, provided by The Junction’s Volunteer Organiser and has a named lead worker on shift; as well as the opportunity to participate in Good Practise Sessions.

What our Volunteers Say!

"The whole volunteer experience was really satisfying for me. I learned so much, not just about work experience, but also about myself... I’m able to take home so many things to my job, to my peer group and to my studies."

Project Volunteer
"I always sensed a very strong commitment from staff to listen to the needs of young people and this is reflected in the projects that are tailored to these needs."
