What’s New?

In June 2025, at the National Youth Work Awards hosted by Youth Link Scotland, The Junction several won awards for our contribution to improving young people’s lives.

Caroline Crozier took the prestigious award of ‘Youth Worker of the Year’.

‘Time to Talk’ won in the Health & Wellbeing category (presented by Public Health Scotland).

‘Time to Talk’ is a collaboration of five youth work organisations focused on supporting young people’s mental health. It offers safe spaces and access one-to-one support in their communities. A key feature is its presence in NHS emergency departments including the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary and Children’s Hospital.

Led by The Junction, it has several collaboration partners in Edinburgh including 6VT Youth Cafe, Wester Hailes Youth Agency, Granton Youth, and Canongate Youth with evaluation support from Northern Star.  It has made a profound difference, helping young people to build resilience, and form lasting connections.

The project is funded by City of Edinburgh Council’s ‘Whole Family Wellbeing Fund’ and NHS Lothian with a focus on delivering transformational change for families.
