Over the years we have had amazing volunteers! A diverse bunch of individuals with a common desire to positively contribute to the support & services of The Junction. We strive to ensure high quality volunteer experiences, which encourage both personal and professional development.
Junction Youth Advisors – for 14 – 21’s. The Junction Youth Advisors (JYA) is a group of local young people who support The Junction to provide free accessible health and wellbeing services to their peers in Leith and North East Edinburgh.
Board of Trustees – over 21’s. The Junction could not do the vital work they do without the support of the Board of Trustees who have overall responsibility for the organisation.
Unfortunately we are currently unable to offer any placements or opportunities to Volunteer Counsellor. Please check back for updates.
over 21’s. Trained and experienced Volunteer Counsellors do a great job of supporting our clients. Through their commitment to The Junction we are able to offer more sessions, over more time slots, over more days
Specialist Volunteers – In the past we have had two qualified Reiki Practitioners volunteering their skills, and a Volunteer Yoga Tutor. Specialist Volunteers bring opportunities for young people (and staff) to explore new activities.
Fundraising Volunteers – We are always grateful for those individuals who choose to support our work by fundraising for The Junction, whether it’s through running a marathon or holding money raising events. We have been lucky to have the support of a range of Volunteer Fundraisers, like:
Kyle Morrison, students from Edinburgh College, The Junctioneers and The Junction EH11’ers.
