Substance Use

At The Junction, we have a Substance Use Project Worker who is able to provide one to one support, drug awareness group work and training. Please see below for more details of the services we provide.

Substances can be drugs and/or alcohol.

We neither condemn nor condone drug use.  We can help you to look at reducing harm and help you make more positive choices about your use of substances by providing non-judgemental, credible and up to date information, advice and support.

ONE TO ONE SUPPORT

Are you affected by your own substance use?

Are you affected by a parents substance use?

Young people can be referred for one to one support from the substance use project worker or access one of our drop-in services to chat to a worker. Young people can also refer themselves.  To make a referral please contact Caroline for further information.

DRUG AWARENESS FOR YOUNG PEOPLE

The service is also able to provide drug awareness inputs for schools and other youth settings.  We currently have a school programme which runs from Primary 7 to Senior Phase at high school.  All our inputs are age and stage appropriate and meet with the Curriculum for Excellence Health & Well-being outcomes.

Drug Awareness inputs can also be tailored to meet the needs of specific groups. If you would like your school or youth setting to receive drug awareness inputs please get in touch to discuss your needs and costings.

TRAINING

In addition we are also able to provide training and awareness sessions for professionals, parents and carers.  Training can be tailored to meet the needs of a specific group or you may wish to access training which is currently available:

Please contact the substance use project worker to discuss costings and needs of your group.

For further information on any of the above services please contact the Substance Use Project Worker, Caroline Crozier.
