The Junction Youth Advisors, went above and beyond when it came to supporting the official launch of The Junctions new premises, in March. Everyone contributed to the event planning and on the launch night Ruairidh kicked off the speeches – welcoming our guests and fellow speakers. Next up for us were Michelle & Laura who gave an insight in to The Junction Youth Advisors, their history and hopes for the near future.
Then throughout the evening there were interactive guided tours given around the new building. Leading the way was Youth Advisor Alex who was in charge of guiding the evenings guest of honour around; Sir Harry Burns Chief Medical Officer for Scotland.
When each tour reached the drop-in area , Youth Advisors Lejla and Emma were on hand to provide an engaging insight into young people’s experience of accessing the Drop-In Service.
Feedback from guests on the night and since sang the praises of the Youth Advisors contribution to what was a hugely successful evening, where they were most definitely the stars.
